How It Works

Getting a custom portrait from Pencil & Paws is a simple, collaborative process designed to make sure you love the final result.

Place your order

It all starts with you selecting your preferred size (8×10, 11×14, or 16×20). Then you can reaching out and sharing a clear, high-quality reference photo of your pet. The better the photo, the more detail I can capture in the finished piece.

Finalize the design

Once your photo is received and your commission is confirmed, I’ll get to work on an initial sketch. Before anything is finalized, you’ll receive a sketch preview for your approval. This is your chance to request any adjustments before the drawing is completed. Your satisfaction with the final piece is the priority, so nothing moves forward without your sign-off.

Enjoy your personalized pet portrait

After approval, the portrait is finished and prepared for delivery. The original physical drawing will be shipped directly to you, but you may also choose to purchase professionally printed copies in your chosen size. From there, all that’s left is finding the perfect spot on your wall to hang it!
